To create methods of harnessing marine energy in ways which are harmonious to the environment and economically viable, thereby providing ample, clean, and sustainable energy.

Company Values

As a company we co-exist with other people, animals, and the earth itself. It is the intention of GOE to live in harmony with each group, and where possible to contribute to a net improvement in the condition of each group.

People

• Each person whether working as an employee, a supplier, or a client, will be respected as a whole person.
• For our staff we recognise the importance of the family and will adopt policies which will allow a good quality of family life. This is embodied in our use of flexible working hours and a relaxed working environment.
• Similarly the well-being of our staff is important to us and we encourage and support their participation in sport and healthy activities.
• We work as a team and from a starting point that everyone is doing their best to contribute. We also acknowledge that we all make mistakes and therefore we seek to develop a No-Blame culture where we can learn from mistakes without fear.

Community

• As a company we recognise the importance of local communities and as a company with global aspirations wish to positively contribute to any communities where we are located.
• Where practical we will source supplies from as close to our base(s) as possible thereby supporting local economies.

Nature

• In every area of our work we will seek to minimise having a negative impact on nature. Where this does occur we will try and offset this with corresponding support of eco systems, etc.
• Our intention is to have an overall positive impact on our natural environment.

Economics

• We believe that a company will ultimately be richer when operating in a fair and prosperous community and therefore we undertake to commit a proportion of our profit to charities and good works each year.
• These values allow us as a company to work creatively, to provide excellent products, meeting a real need, thereby generating profit which in turn enables the outworking of the above policies.
