| Green Ocean Energy Shortlisted For Top Business Accolade |
Green Ocean Energy is celebrating after being shortlisted for a prestigious business award.The Aberdeen-based company, which has developed two groundbreaking wave power devices, has been nominated for a Northern Star Business Award in the sustainable category. George Smith, managing director of Green Ocean Energy said: “We’re honoured and excited to have been shortlisted for the 2009 Northern Star Awards. We are aware of the high calibre of previous winners and nominees and very pleased to have been shortlisted for this year’s Sustainability Award. The goal of a sustainable and affordable future for all is at the heart of the work we do at Green Ocean and it is encouraging to have our efforts acknowledged in this way. The company faces competition from two north east organisations - FIS Chemicals and The Breadmaker. It will find out if it has been successful at a glittering awards dinner at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre on 24 September 2009. |
